I’m Tom van den Ham (JustMeTom) and I’m a young self-taught software developer and entrepreneur who loves to make great products and services for the people. I’d like to provide as much for free as possible and will always listen to people in the community for the best possible results. All my products & services I will also use myself so that I can give myself and other users the best experience. English is not my native language so keep that in my mind when reading articles on my website.
In the past I have worked for Rate Your Music & Album of the Year as a contributor on a voluntary basis and I’m currently working for Musicboard as the head of Datamanagement, PR and Strategy, also as a volunteer. Besides that I also have worked with over a 100 artists for my former, own, now defunct company, YDM-Network.
I always had a fascination for everything that was related to music, I started as a solo drummer and played for several bands (Where some, created by me). Besides that I’ve experimented with music on my computer on FL studio as a kid and have produced several electronic songs. While I like making music, I love even more to share new discovered music with as many as other people and this also started my dream to make a platform for musical talents around the world.
YDM-Network simply didn’t work out because, back then I didn’t have the skills to fully develop my own service and product. I was heavily dependent on other programs and companies and it did cost me a lot of money. After almost 9 years I’ve decided to pull the plug out of YDM-Network and to start thinking about a new, more achievable service and product that was focusing on the artist as well as the consumers. That’s when I decided to start learning software development. And in short, now I’m here! Building my “new” dream project, Musiate. On my blog/website justmetom.com you can follow my journey on where I achieve success in my project and help as many people, artists and consumers/users like you! I have comments disabled but feel free to leave any feedback below! Your opinion does matter and I really appreciate it. Keep in mind to stay kind and that I’m a solo developer who’s constantly learning new things along the way. I don’t like to talk negatively about any of my competitors and I wish them all the best, since that is the best for the market and all the users that could benefit from it.
